Level 3 International Master Groomer
What you should know about the International Master Groomer (IMG) certificate.
The IMG certificate is not a Nationally Recognised Qualification; it is an Industry Recognised Certificate.
IGC have incorporated the IMG to run alongside our Certificate IV Nationally Recognised Qualification, which means that instead of having an Australia wide qualification you can also gain a Certificate IV level qualification that is recognised around the world.
What makes the International Master Groomer (IMG) different?
We have mapped the IMG against the Nationally Recognised Qualification which means this certificate is for groomers that are competent to complete Breed Standard trims to an advanced level, showing the breed standard skills required such as hand stripping and scissoring techniques.
The difference is that for Nationally Recognised Qualification you will be assessed as competent or non-competent, while the International Master Groomer your practical skills will be given a percentage.
If you gain a rating over 90% then you will be eligible to complete the final written assessment to complete you International Master Groomer certificate.
The practical assessments of the breed standard can be completed as many times as required to gain the certificate percentage needed.
IGC believes that the level of groomer to gain this certificate should be of a high level and you should be proud to be able to display this certificate for your clients to see.
